Filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas has provided a major update on his much-anticipated mythological epic, which will star Jr NTR in the lead role. The director confirmed that the final script for the project has been successfully completed and locked, moving the high-profile film closer to production. However, he also noted that the official title for the venture is still under wraps.
A Grand Mythological Vision
This upcoming feature marks a significant reunion between Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas. The film is widely understood to be an epic mythological narrative, reportedly drawing its inspiration from the revered legend of Lord Murugan. Production responsibilities are being handled by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s NTR Arts, collaborating with S. Radha Krishna’s Haarika & Hassine Creations. The musical score, encompassing both songs and background compositions, will be crafted by the acclaimed Anirudh Ravichander. Ravichander has previously collaborated with Jr NTR on Koratala Siva’s 'Devara' and also worked with Trivikram Srinivas on Pawan Kalyan’s 'Agnyaathavaasi'. The project is anticipated to be a large-scale production, positioned as a major mythological endeavor.
The Search for a Title
Despite the script now being finalized, the creative team is still in the process of deciding on the film's official title. Trivikram Srinivas shared these details during an interview with anchor Suma, conducted ahead of the release of 'Aadarsha Kutumba House No: 47 - AK 47'. The initial glimpse of the project, revealed through a first-look poster by Jr NTR himself, depicted a powerful image of Lord Murugan’s sacred Vel (divine spear), intricately interwoven with a DNA strand. Speculation around potential titles includes 'Devasenapathi' or 'God of War', though nothing has been confirmed by the makers.
Jr NTR's Recent and Future Projects
Jr NTR was recently seen in a pivotal role within the action thriller 'War 2', a sequel to the 2019 film 'War' and a part of the YRF Spy Universe. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie featured an ensemble cast including Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Varun Badola, and is currently available for streaming on Netflix. Looking ahead, the actor is set to lead 'Dragon', an upcoming action spectacle helmed by Prashanth Neel. In 'Dragon', Jr NTR portrays Luger, an operative caught in a syndicate facing a major crackdown. The cast also includes Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, alongside Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon, and Sidhant Gupta. 'Dragon' is slated for release on June 11, 2027.
