Hanu-Man actor Teja Sajja is poised to make his foray into reality television as the host of "The Traitors Telugu," a new series set to launch on Prime Video. The show, marking Sajja's debut as a reality presenter, will begin streaming on October 15, 2026, promising a unique blend of alliances, deception, and betrayal.
The Game of Deception Unveiled
The upcoming reality series will gather 20 contestants from diverse backgrounds to participate in a game centered on hidden identities. Unlike conventional competition formats, "The Traitors" divides its participants into two secret factions: the "Innocents" and the "Traitors." The primary goal for the Innocents is to identify and expose the Traitors hidden among them, while the Traitors must cunningly avoid detection and eliminate their opponents.
Teja Sajja's Hosting Perspective
This venture represents Teja Sajja's first experience as a reality show host. In an announcement video, the actor reflected on the intricacies of human nature and deceit. He observed that "Everybody in the world are good people, until an opportunity to deceive arrives," further noting that "For love, power, war and victory, deception has not changed even if eras have." Sajja highlighted the difficulty of discerning hidden adversaries, stating, "It is easy to spot an enemy, but what about a traitor who acts like a friend?" He concluded by setting the tone for the game, declaring, "Trust is uncool, deception is the new rule here."
Streaming Schedule and Global Footprint
"The Traitors Telugu" will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 15, 2026. The season will consist of 10 episodes, released over four weeks, with new installments dropping every Thursday at 12 noon IST. The show will be available in Telugu, complete with English subtitles. This Telugu adaptation is part of a widely successful global reality franchise, which has seen more than 30 international versions, including a Hindi adaptation in India that has already completed two seasons.
Teja Sajja's Cinematic Ventures
Beyond his new hosting role, Teja Sajja maintains a busy schedule in the film industry. Following the release of "Mirai" in 2025, he is slated to star in "Zombie Reddy NXT LVL." This film is a sequel to his earlier horror-comedy hit, "Zombie Reddy." Directed by Suparn S. Varma, the upcoming project also features prominent actors Upendra and Shanaya Kapoor in key roles.
