Tiwari shared insights into her unique relationship with her father, explaining that his success and wealth did not directly translate into a lavish lifestyle for her. She recounted that her parents’ separation meant her father was not a constant presence during her formative years, with meetings limited to once annually. It was only after turning 18 that she actively sought to forge a closer bond with him. Rhiti emphasized that while her father’s name provided a degree of respect, he made it clear he would not pave her career path. She quoted him as saying, "If you have it in you, you will make it on your own. I’m not going to do it for you," highlighting his stance on independent ambition.
Managing on a Modest Allowance
Further elaborating on her financial independence, Rhiti explained that she lacked the funds to pursue various learning opportunities because her father provided no additional financial assistance. She detailed the practical challenges of living within her means, stating, "I used to get a monthly allowance of Rs 20,000-25,000. And do you think anyone can get through a month with that?" She painted a vivid picture of her frugality, recalling instances where she would eat a "Rs 10 vada pav twice a day just to fill my stomach" and fill her car with "just Rs 500 worth of diesel... just enough for what I needed."

Rhiti expressed her frustration with public misconceptions about her background. She noted that many assume she "came with a very big silver spoon in my mouth," but asserted that her reality was far different, describing herself as "just a layman."
