Actor Kartikeya Gummakonda is expanding his creative horizons, marking his directorial and writing debut with the upcoming sports action film, Come Back. The announcement, made as part of his 34th birthday celebrations on September 21, 2026, also revealed that his wife, Lohitha Reddy, is producing the project under their banner, Kartikeya Creative Works.
A New Chapter: Director and Star
Kartikeya, celebrated for roles in films like RX100 and Valimai, is taking on multiple hats for Come Back. In addition to directing and writing the screenplay, he will also star as the protagonist in what marks his tenth feature film. This venture is particularly notable as it’s a family affair, with his wife, Lohitha Reddy, stepping in as producer for Kartikeya Creative Works, their own production house.
Glimpse into 'Come Back'
The first look at Come Back was revealed alongside the announcement, offering a peek into the film's high-octane sports action genre. The title glimpse showcases Kartikeya in a boxing ring, hinting at a narrative centered around a character's return to the sport after a three-year hiatus. The movie is currently in production and is slated for a theatrical release in 2027.

The creative team bringing Come Back to life includes Vijay Bulganin, who is composing the film's musical score. Cinematography is being handled by Jagadeesh Cheekati, while Kalyan Suryaprakash is responsible for the editing.
