A contentious statement by actor Aasif Khan regarding the definition of masculinity has sparked a heated debate within the Bigg Boss 20 house. During a recent task, Khan asserted that moustaches are an essential mark of "real men," a declaration that quickly drew strong reactions from his fellow contestants.
Aasif Khan's Controversial Stance on Masculinity
Harking back to his Rajasthani heritage, Aasif Khan explained his deeply held belief about the significance of facial hair. He stated, "We come from Rajasthan. This moustache is our identity, and we don’t consider men without moustaches to be real men." His comment, which also included a reference to his beard, immediately set the stage for a fiery discussion among the housemates, challenging conventional notions of male identity.
Housemates Challenge the Definition of 'Real Men'
Khan's remarks did not go unchallenged. While Yung DSA appeared to lend some support to Aasif's perspective, several others vocally disagreed. Gullu was quick to object, highlighting that many men do not sport moustaches. He pointedly remarked, "A lot of people don’t keep moustaches. The person in whose show you are currently in also doesn’t keep a moustache," adding critically, "his manhood is just moustache."
The discussion intensified as Aman Gandhi also voiced his disagreement with Khan's rigid definition. Actress Mahhi Vij delivered a direct and strong rebuke, arguing that true masculinity transcends physical appearance or aggression. "He said real men are like this; real men are absolutely not like this," Vij countered. She elaborated, "Real men keep the family together, unlike those who are aggressive." Her intervention steered the conversation towards a more inclusive understanding of what it means to be a 'real man'.
Aasif Khan's Journey on Bigg Boss 20
This latest controversy adds another layer to Aasif Khan's already eventful journey on Bigg Boss 20. The Panchayat actor has previously drawn criticism for his behavior on the reality show and was addressed by host Salman Khan during a past Weekend Ka Vaar episode regarding his general conduct. His interactions and confrontations have consistently generated buzz among both housemates and viewers. As contestants increasingly challenge his views, the dynamics within the house are expected to evolve further in the upcoming episodes.
